Hi,

I’m Natalie Strohmaier, a freelance photographer and visual artist based in Munich. I’m trained in architecture and set design for film, and this background actively shapes how I approach images today.

My work sits between applied and artistic photography. I create staged visual worlds in my studio and through digital processes, always driven by a clear concept. Each project starts with an idea that develops into its own visual language, sometimes minimal, sometimes bold, often with a touch of humor, but always intentional. Form, light, and composition play a key role in creating images that feel visually strong and conceptually clear.

Alongside client work, I develop personal projects that explore themes drawn from everyday life, such as the overabundance of sugar and plastic, unrealistic beauty standards, or questions around the work–life balance of working mothers.
