In Deutschland beheimateter Fotograf, irgendwie ständig unterwegs zwischen Dortmund, Amsterdam und Hamburg. Immer auf der Jagd nach Momenten und Geschichten. Ich liebe Menschen und ihre Persönlichkeit und das Arbeiten mit Nicht-Profis, da mich ihre Entspanntheit und ihre Motivation fasziniert. Mit ihnen Fotos zu machen, die sie dann am Ende selber überraschen und glücklich machen, das kickt mich am meisten.

Ich habe eine fotografische Ausbildung und ein anschließendes Designstudium. Die Kombination aus beidem sorgt dafür, das ich eher in Kampagnen, in Geschichten, nicht in One-Hit-Wondern denke, eben mehr wie ein Art-Director, weniger als Fotograf - meistens ein echter Vorteil im Job. Nach einigen Jahren in der Werbung bin ich mitlerweile rein auf die Fotografie konzentriert.

Was mich an der Fotografie wirklich fesselt, ist die Tatsache das sie zwei völlig verschiedenen Dinge kann. Sie kann eine ganze Geschichte in nur einem einzelnen Bild erzählen aber auch genausogut einen winzigen Moment in einem Foto einfrieren.

I´m a german based photographer, traveling between Dortmund, Amsterdam and Hamburg. Always on the hunt for special moments and stories. I enjoy working with people, especially non-professionals because they are extremely motivated and have a natural laxity on set. Being able to create unique photos as a team is the thing I like the most. And to see how surprised people are about how they can look in a picture - that's what makes me happy.

I had a photographic education and subsequently studied communication- and media design. These two educations result in a special approach that I have with my work. I generally think in concepts, campaigns and stories, not in one hit wonders and of course, more like an art-director, less than a photographer - mostly very usefull in my job. After several years working in the advertising industry I´m now only focused on photography.

I love the most in photography that I am able to do two very diverse things - tell a whole story in a single picture or capture a specific moment in one image.
