What do we do? Velvet Artists represents Photographers in Los Angeles, New York and Paris. We have been in business since 1996.


Who are we? After 10 years as an Art Buyer in France on the L’Oreal and Range Rover accounts, Marie-Anne Aizac made the big jump and came to Los Angeles to open an in-house photo rep department of a production company. A year into it she decided to start her own photographer representation agency to enjoy more creative input.

Velvet is dedicated to representing Los Angeles and New York photographers who not only have a vision and are passionate about their art, but who are also able to work within the parameters of an advertising assignment.

Our past experience in ad agencies and production companies help us work with our advertising clients while staying true to our artists' vision.

We successfully combine a touch of European artistic flair with a very American business ethic.

Why do we love representing photographers? From presenting photographers portfolios, negotiating a budget, supervising the production to managing photographers careers, we love it all !

We also enjoy helping younger photographers find their true style and built a distinctive portfolio.
