THE STUDIO

We are a studio for retouching — color grading and concept based in Berlin.
Founded in 2008 by GRIT HACKENBERG, the studio creates contemporary, creative and innovative looks and visual concepts for advertising and editorial campaigns.

GRIT was educated in photography before she started to specialize in high-end retouching. Already in 1995 she became Head of Digital Imaging at René Staud Studios, specialized in car photography. Later on she worked for the retouching company RECOM, as Head of Artwork for 7 years. Over the years, Grit has worked for many well known photographers and ad agencies on national and international campaigns

Depending on the project we work in the studio as well as on location worldwide, using the latest technology. We either provide full service – from image processing and look development to the finalization of the image – or offer on location look development only. We collaborate with a network of other highly skilled retouchers and CGI artists, enabling us to easily handle large volume jobs and tight deadlines.
