After more than 20 years behind the camera, I've learned that great images don't come from gear – they come from people. The magic happens when everyone on set matters: the client as much as the assistant, the art director as much as the model. When creativity flows freely and focuses on one vision, something unique emerges.
I've had the privilege to work with incredible brands like STIHL, Red Bull, Audi, PwC, RB Leipzig, and Sony – always with the same approach: collaboration over hierarchy, energy over ego, authenticity over perfection.
My work spans commercial photography, portraiture, sports, and documentary filmmaking. In 2024, a personal passion project – a 20-minute documentary I shot, edited, and graded entirely on my own – won Best Cinematography awards in New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Hollywood, and was nominated at film festivals from Cannes to Belgrade. It reminded me why I do this: to tell stories that move people.
Every shoot still makes me nervous. That edge keeps me sharp, keeps me giving 110%. No two jobs are the same, and that's exactly what I love about this work. When the day ends and you see exhausted but happy faces, you know you've created something real.
LIFE
I live in a small village in the Bavarian Alps with my partner Katrin and our two kids – right at the edge of the mountains. When there's fresh snow, I'm gone before sunrise. When the trails are calling, you'll find me on my bike. And when I need to recharge, I disappear to our cabin on a remote island in the Swedish archipelago. Just water, forest, silence.
This is where I find my balance. Between big international shoots and quiet mountain mornings. Between high-energy campaigns and slow, mindful days. Between the noise of the world and the stillness within.
I've spent years in fast-paced cities (Berlin post-reunification was wild!), but my heart belongs here – where the mountains meet the sky and life moves at a different pace.
Been there, done that. Now I'm exactly where I want to be.
