meike was raised in northern germany; grew up in texas and southern california; and came to berlin in 2008. she studied graphic design in el paso, tx; history and journalism in gießen near frankfurt; and finally commercial photography in santa monica, ca.

meike loves cooking; discovering and tasting new food; and loves even more bringing food to life with the help of her camera. always on the hunt for new and eclectic props, she has filled her kreuzberg studio with thousands of beautiful and unique things to help her place beautiful food center stage.
