PROFASHIONAL founders Birgit Amelung and Rebecca Rupcic are a creative duo and directing team based in Berlin, Germany. The award-winning director and former VOGUE stylist have known each other for more than a decade and their creative partnership began when they bonded over their shared love for fashion and film. With backgrounds in film making, advertising and fashion they make an unique and dynamic symbiosis of directing, styling and creative direction. They have been working internationally with industry leaders such Karl Lagerfeld, Mario Testino, Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Terry Richardson, Ellen von Unwerth, Heidi Klum. Their work was screened and shortlisted at Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2014 & 2012, Berlinale International Directors Lounge 2012, La Jolla Fashion Film Festival 2012, ASVOFF St. Petersburg 2013 & fashion photography exhibition ‘Timeless Beauty’ in Berlin, 2012.
