Barbara Lamelza was born in Stuttgart, Germany and her career in the beauty world began in 1989 when she began training with Oscar winning mentor Hasso Von Hugo in Berlin in the arenas of opera, theatre, and film.

Lamelza worked on numerous amazing productions, including "Phantom of the Opera." All the while, Lamelza was also broadening her skills by working in the fashion and advertising industry. In 1995, Lamelza relocated to Los Angeles where she began working with celebrities.

Lamelza has worked with A-list celebrities such as Scarlett Johansson, Mila Jovovich, Glenn Close, and Hugh Jackman. She has also worked on renowned publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Elle UK. Lamelza has worked with many photographers including Rankin, Miles Aldridge, Christian Schuller, and Phillipe Kerlo.

Barbara also worked as key makeup key or key makeup & hair on several movies with directors like Wim Wenders, Rodrigo Garcia and others.
