For over ten years Claudia and Ralf Pülmanns have been a creative duo working together in the fashion and cosmetic industry.

When Claudia met skilled photographer Ralf back in 1998 in Germany, the make-up artist was already working with stars such as Lenny Kravitz.

Less than six months later the couple moved to London, where they developed their very own strong visual language working not only for magazines such as Harpers & Queen, Blvd. and the Sunday Times, but also companies like Boots and Swarovski appreciated their close working relationship.

On their shoots Claudia is the driving force behind the looks and style of girls while Ralf, with his technical understanding, focuses on the interplay of light, creating a special setting.

One thing they shared right from the start: the excitement for big productions.

After six years in London moving to Paris came with no surprise: the french love for a sophisticated style inspires them to create their highly acclaimed imagery.

Prestigious brands such as Cartier, Montblanc, L'Oréal, Clarins, Salvatore Ferragamo and Guess appreciate the perfect execution of a classic jet contemporary visual, giving its subject a glamourous and sensual touch as well as focussing on a graphic composition, clean lines and paying strong attention to detail.

The Pülmanns’ are always searching for the one true moment that turns a photograph into a fascinating image.

C&R have now joined forces as a photographers team. As they have been working very closely together since the beginning this makes it a natural progression.

The couple continues to work in the cutting edge photography markets of Paris and London as well as on location in Europe and overseas. While shooting the recent Guess campaign they just fell deeply in love with the glamour of Hollywood and the warm lights of Los Angeles.
