Claus Morgenstern was born in Siegen in 1985 and has been living in Berlin since October 2016.
His second location is Frankfurt / Mannheim, where he still runs the studio community WERFTSTUDIO with his partner Laura Brechtel.

Morgenstern studied photo design at the Pforzheim Photo Design School and graduated in 2008.
Since 2012, Claus Morgenstern has been a professional member of the BFF  Association of Free Photographers and Film Designers.

In 2015, he joined the prestigious AOP Association of Photographers in London. Known for his relaxed, down-to-earth manner and his ability to connect and collaborate with both talent and crew alike.

Some of his images are available in limited editions and were exhibited in Germany and other countries.

In 2017 he became chairman of the BFF region Baden-Württemberg.
