Founded in 1991, Matthew Marks Gallery represents twenty-four European and American artists of different generations.
The gallery handles work in all media, including painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, drawing and printmaking.
The gallery maintains five exhibition spaces totaling more than 19,000 square feet where twelve to fourteen exhibitions are presented each year, many of which are accompanied by publications.
In January 2012, Matthew Marks Gallery opened a gallery in Los Angeles.
