Studio Deux is the brainchild of Kim Vogel and Dirk Rossbach. We are a creative studio specializing in brand strategy, art direction, illustration and graphic design. New ideas and transformative experiences are at the heart of our work. We believe in creating authentic, emotionally driven work that functions for our clients goals and resonates with their audiences. We partner with brands and innovators in music, art, fashion, and sustainability to influence culture. We share a vision: to tell unique stories, challenge assumptions, and inspire positive change.

When we first met two years ago, it quickly became clear that we had a special chemistry and shared the same enthusiasm for art and design. We began to spend more time together, visiting exhibitions and discussing artistic processes. We looked at the work of performance artist Tehching Hsieh with a mixture of admiration and disbelief, and talked about coordinates like discipline, rhythm, and structure. In the process, we reflected on our own relationship to creative work and artistic freedom.

An intense exchange of ideas began. We worked on our first joint projects, attended workshops and experimented with different printing techniques. As time went on, we started talking more and more about the idea of setting up a studio together. What began as a quiet thought became louder and louder and matured into a concrete project.

Last summer we spent a week in the south of France, taking a boat up the Canal du Midi. The remoteness and barrenness of the landscape provided the perfect backdrop for strategic planning and future projections. Between Argens-Minervois and our destination, Bram, the decision was made: we would stop hesitating, pluck up our courage and embark on an adventure together. No longer alone, but together. Not one, but deux [dø].

Studio Deux was born. Collectively, we have decades of experience in the industry. We are in love with the idea of bridging the gap between art and design, combining analog and digital techniques and creating unconventional concepts.
