Ty Greenlees is the Chief Photographer for the Dayton Daily News where he has photographed the people and events of Dayton and southwest Ohio since 1984. Greenlees earned his bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Wright State University, 1988, and his airplane and helicopter pilot certificates while working for the newspaper. With a lifelong passion for photography and aviation, Greenlees has covered the forefront of aviation, military and business events in Dayton, the Birthplace of Aviation. Greenlees is known for his location lighting and the ability to gather creative photographs from difficult locations and limited time frames. His work is often featured in Dayton B2B magazine.

Greenlees resides in Wilmington, Ohio with his wife, Amy, two children and a small bevy of pets.
